And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.\u2019 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God\u2019s gifts and his call are irrevocable.\u201d Romans 11:26-29<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Read Romans 11:1-29<\/strong>. What does the text say in respect to Israel.
\na. What example does Paul use to show that God did not reject His people?

2. Read Deuteronomy 30:1-10<\/strong>. Where has the Lord dispersed the people of Israel? Why will they return? What will happen when they return? When will they return? Why?<\/p>\n

3. Read James 1:1<\/strong>.To whom is this letter addressed. Where are the recipients located?<\/p>\n

4. Read Isaiah 11:12<\/strong>. From where will the Lord gather the exiles of Israel?<\/p>\n

5. Read Jeremiah 31<\/strong>. Who has the Lord loved with an everlasting love? What is the new covenant God will make with Israel? (verses 31-34<\/strong>) What will happen to the city of Jerusalem? (verses 38-40<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

6. Read Ezekiel 20:34-44<\/strong>. Twice in this passage God says, \u201cyou will know that I am the Lord.\u201d<\/strong> Why does He say this?<\/p>\n

7. Read Ezekiel 28:25-26<\/strong>. Why does the Lord say, \u201cthey will know that I am the Sovereign Lord\u201d<\/strong> and later \u201cthey will know that I am the Lord their God\u201d<\/strong>?
\n8. Read Ezekiel 36:8-38<\/strong>. What does the Lord do that Israel and the nations know that He is the Lord their God? (verses 11<\/strong>, 23<\/strong>, 38<\/strong>)<\/p>\n

9. Read Ezekiel 37<\/strong>.
\na. What do the bones represent?
\nb. Who will be united (verses 15-23<\/strong>)?
\nc. Who will be their king? For how long? (See Psalm 89:4<\/strong>, 20<\/strong>, 29<\/strong> Ezekiel 34:23<\/strong>).
\n\u201c\u2026the coming Messianic ruler is called David because he would be a descendent of David and achieve for Israel what David had\u2014except more fully.\u201d NIV Study Bible<\/em><\/p>\n

10. Read Zephaniah 3<\/strong>.
\na. Who will the Lord remove from the city (verse 11<\/strong>)?<\/p>\n

b. Who will remain (verses 12-14<\/strong>)?<\/p>\n

c. What will the Lord do for the remnant of Israel?<\/p>\n

11. Read Zechariah 2<\/strong>. What city will be a city without walls? Who will be a fire around it? Where will the Lord live? When will He live there? Who will live there with the Lord?<\/p>\n

12. Read Zechariah 12-14<\/strong>. Zechariah<\/strong> was written after the remnant of Jews returned from their captivity in Babylon and were in the process of rebuilding their temple. Ezra<\/strong> and Haggai<\/strong> are companion books. However, \u201cthat day\u201d<\/strong> concerns a future time? What will happen to Israel on that day?
\na. Who will be gathered against Jerusalem?<\/p>\n

b. What will happen to every horse and its riders?<\/p>\n

c. Who will the leaders of Judah consume?<\/p>\n

d. Who will the Lord save first? Why?<\/p>\n

e. Why will Israel mourn (verses 10-14<\/strong>)?<\/p>\n

f. \u00a0Who will be cleansed from sin and impurity?<\/p>\n

g. Who will be removed from the land?<\/p>\n

h. What will happen to anyone who still prophecies? For an understanding of 13:6 notice what the false prophets did to themselves in 1 Kings 18:28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

i. How many will be struck down and perish? How many will be left in the land? What will happen to those left in the land?<\/p>\n

j. What will happen to Jerusalem when the nations fight against her?<\/p>\n

k. Who will fight against the nations? Who will come with Him? Where will He stand?<\/p>\n

l. What will happen to the Mount of Olives?<\/p>\n

m. Why will that day be a unique day?<\/p>\n

n. With what plague will the Lord strike the nations that fight against Jerusalem? What will a similar plague strike?<\/p>\n

o. What will be collected?<\/p>\n

p. Who will go up year after year to worship the King? What will happen if they don\u2019t?<\/p>\n

q. What will HOLY TO THE LORD be inscribed on?<\/p>\n

r. Who will no longer be found in the house of the Lord Almighty?<\/p>\n

13. Read Matthew 24:1-31<\/strong>. When do the events of Zechariah 12-14<\/strong> take place in Matthew 24<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

14. Read Revelation 7<\/strong>, 14<\/strong>, 11<\/strong>, 12<\/strong> and 16:12-16<\/strong> watching for what pertains to Israel.
\na. What event in Revelation 7<\/strong> and 14<\/strong> refers directly to Israel?<\/p>\n

b. List the events of Revelation 11<\/strong>. What does this tell you about Israel\u2019s \u00a0relationship to the events of this time?<\/p>\n

c. Revelation 12 <\/strong>is also mainly about Israel? List these events including the time \u00a0frame.<\/p>\n

d. What major event takes place in Revelation 16:12-16<\/strong>? Where does it take \u00a0place?<\/p>\n
